My favorite book has been made into a graphic novel! The Raven Boys by author Maggie Stiefvater has been adapted by Stephanie Williams and Illustrated by Sas Milledge. I’m excited to read this adaptation and I hope it simply adds to the experience of loving these characters and this rich world I have come to identify with.
The paperback special edition has beautiful sprayed edges and my signed hardback edition is already up on the book shelves!
The original book, The Raven Boys (in a nutshell) is an urban fantasy filled with themes of found family, friendship, belief in oneself and others, trust, pride and having to consider others experiences, views and challenges. Oh, and there’s loads of magic, otherness, Welch kings, mythology and delight just waiting to be held.
Forget the YA genre, the original summary on the back of the book ( this is NOT a romance) or anything else hindering you from reading this.
I am 100% biased but I encourage anyone to pickup the first book and let the metaphors, foreshadowing and masterful storytelling ooze into your DNA.
