When 4 individuals worth $125,900,000, that's trillion with a "T," own widely-used information services, that also means that top 1% of the word's wealthiest own and can control what information is seen and heard. I doubt they have the rest of our best interests in mind.

The entire online social platform landscape hasn't ever had our best interests in mind, even if the wealthiest people on earth didn't own them. This just helps illustrate to me the perverse incentives these platforms have.

True. I imagine it would be easy to fall into the usual anti-user trappings that social media sites and apps tend to have. Maybe not even purposely. A democratization of information and the avenues it is distributed through feel extra important during the times we are living through currently.
