This sequel was a swing and a miss. It was like watching the middle of a movie. It seemed to pick up right where the last one left off, without any intro at all. Then took a left turn diving into weird storylines that only provided stomach turning gore for extended periods, then ended oddly leaving no resolution nor any curiosity for what might come next. As oddly as it ended, it was a welcome end.

I'm mostly unfamiliar with Ni DaCosta's work, but given that this seems to be her only feature film that she didn't write herself, I wonder if that's some of the reason. I haven't seen it because I haven't seen any of these 28 movies, but I do find swings interesting even when they miss.

I’m not familiar with her work other than these two movies. I’m sure I’ll watch the next one, just not at the theater. Maybe when they add the last one it will flow better as one continuous movie. I personally am not a fan of real gore though as well, which impacts my review. I can’t watch it, so I ended up looking away more than I would have liked for one movie.
